About Dr. Waldron
Kevin G. Waldron MD, FAANS is a board certified neurosurgeon with over 25 years of experience in managing complex neurosurgical conditions. Dr. Waldron has performed thousands of neurosurgical procedures treating patients with a wide range of diseases of the brain and spine.
Dr. Waldron is the Founder and Director of Pacific Coast Neurosurgery in Laguna Hills. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Prior to medical school, he studied physics and biophysics at Boston College and Columbia University. He received his medical degree from the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1999.
Dr. Waldron moved to the midwest and completed 6 years of neurosurgical residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, a comprehensive neurosurgery program where he became proficient in handling acute and chronic medical problems related to the central and peripheral nervous system in a variety of traumatic, critical care, and outpatient settings.
Dr. Waldron has authored several research papers, including presentations for the American Association of Cancer Research.
Dr. Waldron has over 25 years of comprehensive neurosurgical experience. Prior to relocating to California, he was a Medical Director at the Methodist Hospital Neuroscience Institute in Merrillville, Indiana.

Dr. Waldron specializes in minimally invasive spinal decompressive techniques, motion preserving spinal technologies, microscopic spinal fusion techniques, complex spinal reconstruction, robotic and computer assisted image guided cranial surgery, Chiari decompression, transsphenoidal surgery, CSF shunting, tumor resection, movement disorder and epilepsy surgery, and microvascular decompression.
He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Personal
Outside of the professional realm, Dr. Waldron enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons exploring new countries, cultures, cuisine, and national parks. He is an avid skier and surfer, and a deep philosophical thinker.
